Word of the Week
"For this cause I, Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles..."
- Ephesians 3:1 KJV
Paul is writing while he is chained to a Roman sanatorium. He’s a prisoner of Rome, seemingly. Paul realized that sometimes before you can defeat the problem, you have to define the problem.
You define things on the inside!
Paul refused to see himself as a prisoner, even though he was chained. Refuse to be a prisoner to a wheelchair, to medication, to a diagnosis, to a bad marriage...
Who you’re a prisoner of is who controls you. Paul defied his circumstance, and that released him on the inside to maintain his faith, his joy, his aim and his future!
Today, God is saying that you’re not a prisoner of what you feel you’re a prisoner of. Don’t let what’s around you imprison you.
Break out of that prison!
And begin to declare that you’re a prisoner of the Lord. That will put Him in charge of everything!
