"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) ”
- Hebrews 10:23
Word of the Week
It is easy to be positive when things are going well. You think positive. You talk positive. You have a good attitude.
But whenever so many people hit a storm or a crisis -- and they are real and can be very challenging -- the first thing that often goes is our thinking in the way we talk.
We just forget that God promised us that we would come through it. We forget the fact that God said that all things work together for the good.
It's so easy to go from positive to negative, just like that. We lose our profession. We lose our confession.
Where your mouth goes, you go.
In this verse he is saying, "Don't let your faith be wavering." Don't say one day I'm healed and another day I'm not healed. One day I'm going to make it and another day I'm not going to make it.
You vacillate. You waffle. What is the Bible say? You don't receive anything. Your word this week is the hold fast. Ask God, “Hey give me the grace." Oh God, empower me. I'll do my part. I'll do my due diligence. Empower me to hold on to my confession.”
I'm healed whether I feel like it or not. I'm rich because you became poor so that I might be made rich. I'm strong in the Lord no matter how I feel. It's going to work out no matter what it seems like.”
When you get that down and people begin to ask you questions, you answer them with I'm trusting him.
It's better to say last and be positive than to say more and to move into doubt!
